The classroom is finally quiet.
The desks are empty, the bulletin boards are coming down, and another school year is officially behind you.
Before you start thinking about next year's lesson plans, take a moment to recognize what you've accomplished.
You encouraged students who doubted themselves.
You celebrated victories, both big and small.
You solved problems no one else saw.
You showed up on difficult days, even when you were tired.
Teaching is one of the few professions where success is measured not only by grades but by lives touched.
As summer begins, give yourself permission to rest without guilt.
You earned it.
